The Fitness Integrity Challenge: My Personal Do-Over

On July 24th I kicked off my own personal Fitness Integrity Challenge.

My intention in starting this challenge was (and is) to get back into integrity with working out. Which means showing up each and every day consistently.

To me, integrity means what I think, what I say, and what I do are all in sync. And where my fitness routine was concerned, these three things had really fallen out of alignment.

I would say I wanted to work out, but my thoughts and actions were not supporting my intention. I decided to create this challenge to get back on track!

My ultimate goal at the end of the challenge is to be able to run 13 miles.

How does the challenge work?

Each day I will work out and each day I’ll post a video about it on social media.

During this video series, I will share with you the things going on beyond the posts. For me, that means actually getting to hear about my thoughts, my feelings and my lessons from this experience.

This is my first adventure in the world of social media as well, so you will be treated to the struggles, bloopers, and follies of a 49-year-old playing in a teenager's sandbox.

Through this challenge, I’m interested in discovering what my relationship is to many areas of my life -- failure, aging, integrity, physical activity, confidence, self, judgment, self-talk, community, compassion, empathy, strength, love, presence, power, fun, joy, and fear.

My assertion is that this 30-day Fitness Integrity Challenge will have very little to do with fitness and everything to do with how I relate to myself.

If you’re following along, my hope is that you see what I am going through and then relate that back to how something similar may be showing up in your life. The reality is we all have the same stuff going on in our lives, and at the same time, we all relate to it differently.

Interested in jump-starting some change in your life? Do-overs are truly possible every minute of the day. Why wait for yours?

You don’t have to wait and you also don’t have to do it alone. In fact, I’m offering you an easy way (3 mins for 3 days) to kick-start your do-over right here.

I’ll be sharing more about the fitness challenge here on the blog, so stay tuned. The best way to see all the daily updates is to join me over on my Facebook page.
